Rules and Regulations for Inter-UG Games 2012

1.Telematch
Duration: 45 mins
Venue: Outdoor basketball court
- Total 2 matches, 1 round each
- 8 players per match (16 players in total)
Game Details:
There will be two parts to the game. For the first part, the 8 players will complete some tasks. After they have completed the tasks, the other 8 players will take over from them and carry on with an obstacle course. Once they are done, timing will be recorded.
“Tasks to be completed

  1. The first 8 will have to hook arms as they stand in a line. Afterwards, the last player of the line will have to dribble a basketball to the next point without allowing it to dribble away.
  2. Once they reach the next point, they will have to blow 8 balloons and tie them up.
  3. Still continue hooking arms, they will bring the 8 balloons (whichever way they want it as long as it doesn’t touch the floor) to the last point.
  4. At the last point, they will use satay sticks to poke a hole through the balloons. The balloon must not burst. The moment they have 3 balloons with satay sticks poking through, they will have to take those balloons and stand in a line, with hands on each other’s shoulders, ready to hop back to the starting point with one leg.

**The difficult part for the last point is that only the first person will have free hands to hold the balloons
Obstacle Course
  1. One of the players will start first by jumping through a series of hula-hoops, after which they would then crawl under a series of tables.
  2. Lastly, each one of the players will have to balance a bean bag on their head. The players will have to run to the score table together and report to the score IC with the bean bags on their head.”
Rules: Scoring system:
- Score IC are not allowed to record the score if the players did not report as a whole team with bean bags on their head
- If the basketball dribbles away, it must be retrieved back but they can continue from the point they stopped
- Balloons, bean bags must not touch the floor
- No matter what happens, the players have to stay as a team
- The players can choose the size of balloons to be blown up as long as they are comfortable with it
- The UG that takes the fastest time to complete the telematch will win
- They will be ranked according to their timing, the 1st - 25 points, 2nd - 20 points, 3rd - 15 points, 4th - 10 points, 5th - 5 points
** Points for the games will be collated at the end of everything


2. Captain’s Ball
This game will require CCAs to combine together (GG/NCC, BB/SJAB, NPCC)
Duration: 45mins
Venue: Indoor Sports Hall
- 3 matches in total, 3 rounds each (7mins each round)
- 7 players per team (3 Girls 4 Boys, changeover after each round)

Game Details:
The UG ics will draw lots to see who will go first. For example, GG/NCC competes against BB/SJAB, after playing for 3 rounds the winner is BB/SJAB. They will then compete with NPCC and we will determine the winner after 3 rounds. If the winner is BB/SJAB, then we will have another match between GG/NCC & NPCC to determine the second and third.
** The third match round might not be necessary

“There will be one goal keeper and the rest will be playing in the court. At the start of the game, the ball will be thrown at no direction in particular and the 2 teams will have to try and get it. The players are supposed to pass the ball to their goalkeeper, and if the goalkeeper catches it, then they will get a point. If not, the game will continue. ”
Rules: Scoring system:
- Players are not to move while holding the ball.

- The ball must be passed on to the next person within 5 secs.

- Players are to stand at a distance one ball away from each other.

- Boys are to pass the ball to girls only while girls can pass to anyone.

- If the ball is out of the court, the team that touches it last will have to let the other team take the ball.
- For every ball successfully passed to the goalkeeper by his or her teammate, the team will get 1 point.

- At the end of each round, the team with more points will win that round.

- After the match, the team that won the most rounds will be the winner.

- If it happens that the match is a draw, then there will be an extra golden goal whereby the team who gets the goal wins the game.

- They will be ranked accordingly, the 1st - 25 points, 2nd - 20 points, 3rd - 15 points
** Points for the games will be collated at the end of everything



3. Ultimate Frisbee
This game will require CCAs to combine together (GG/NCC, BB/SJAB, NPCC)
Duration: 45 minsVenue: Outdoor basketball court
- Total 3 matches, 3 rounds each (7 mins per round)
- 12 players per team (6 Boys 6 Girls, changeover every round)

Game Details:
The UG ICs will draw lots and decide which CCA to go first. For example, GG/NCC competes against BB/SJAB, after playing for 3 rounds the winner is BB/SJAB. They will then compete with NPCC and we will determine the winner after 3 rounds. If the winner is BB/SJAB, then we will have another match between GG/NCC & NPCC to determine the second and third.
** The third match round might not be necessary

“Players will stand in a straight line at the opposing ends of the court. Once the whistle blows, one team will start by throwing the frisbee as far as possible to the opposite to ‘gain grounds’. Once the frisbee lands on the ground, it belongs to the opponent. They can pick it up and continue passing to the goal area. A defensive player may loudly count to 10, and if the frisbee is not thrown within the 10 seconds, the other team immediately gains possession. Once the frisbee lands on the goal area, the team gains one point. If a team successfully scores a point, the two teams have to swap directions. ”
Rules: Scoring system:
- The opponent can tap the frisbee from the players’ hands but not snatch
- Once the player gets the frisbee, they have 10 seconds before passing it on
- The player holding the frisbee must stay put and pass the frisbee.
- Once someone holding on to the frisbee lands in the goal area, the team scores one point.

- At the end of each round, the team with more points will win that round.

- After the match, the team that won the most rounds will be the winner.

- If it happens that the match is a draw, then there will be an extra golden goal whereby the team who gets the goal wins the game.

4. Mass Jumping Rope
Graduated seniors can also join in the game
Duration: 40 mins
Venue: Indoor Sports Hall
- Total 2 matches, 1 round each
- Round 1: 5 people, Round 2: As many as possible(whole company if can)

Game Details:
“At the start of the game, there will be 5 mins try out for the first match. The first match will require 5 players to jump at the same time and we will record down the no. of jumps made in 1 min. If they made a mistake, we will recount the no. of jumps. The UG with the most no. of jumps made in 1 min will score the most points.”

“For the second match, there will be a 5 mins try out before the game commence. This match require players to come in one by one when the rope starts to swing. The UG who can get the most number of people jumping on the rope will score the most points. There will be 7 mins given to this match so if they made a mistake, they can try it again and the best result will be recorded.”
Rules: Scoring system:
- Stop jumping when the time limit is up
- For the second match, players must have at least 3s interval before the next one joins in to jump
- For the first match, the no. of rounds made in 1 min by the individual UGs will be recorded down.
- For the second match, the no. of players jumping at the same time without jumping or tripping over will be recorded down.
- After the two matches, they will be ranked accordingly, the 1st - 25 points, 2nd - 20 points, 3rd - 15 points, 4th - 10 points, 5th - 5 points
** Points for the games will be collated at the end of everything
